Joe Santoro
Joe has been a profesional puppetreer since 1993. He has performs at fairs, feativals, TV, schools, libraries, day cares, senior homes, but most of the kids know him by all the birthdays he has done. Joe builds all his puppets and writes all the scripts. He works alone with hand, rod, mouth and stick puppets. His puppets range from traditional to expermental/ abstract styles. Joe is in the final stages of opening up a year round puppet theater at 412 West King Street here in Martinsburg WV. It will be the only full time working theater in the state. Proposed opening is planed for late summer 2007. He supports his habit as a full time Art Teacher in The Berkeley County Schools.
